Greetings Friends, Family, Fellow Blogging Community!! I'm a 30-something year old music teacher and enthusiastic self-taught decorator, who loves to spend time with my tremendously talented and handsome one-of-a-kind husband, Jon, our two amazing children, Clara and Carson, and my wonderful loving family and friends!! I love all things creative and artsy, including design, music, dance, art, scrapbooking, you name it!! I decided to commence this blog in order to create a fun and creative on-line journal showcasing the exciting adventurous journey of the Botbyl family, and in order to keep in touch with and hopefully inspire other individuals, like myself who love to share a wonderful life's design consisting of love of family, friends, and creative living!! Please leave me a message/comment if you decide to visit my blog, or add yourself to my list of "followers" so that I can visit your awesome blog or Facebook!! PINK IS THE NEW...PINK!!Today was definitely, without a doubt, memorable! Once again, we celebrated "Pink Day", which has become an annual holiday at my middle school, Reminding us of those who has been affected by breast cancer, which basically includes everyone, because in some way, shape, or form, we all know someone who's life has been changed or lost due to this horrible disease. "Pink Day" represents strength, perseverance, & courage of human kind fighting against this terrible disease, while our hopeful search for the cure for cancer continues!! Everyone...and I mean EVERYONE - Students, Staff, Parents, News Broadcasters, list goes on and on, sports pink in ways never thought of before, on clothing, in hair (real, spray painted, or fake), in the classroom and lunchroom. There are sometimes even surprise visitations from characters such as The Pink Panther, Dr. Seuss's Cat in The Hat, and even Pink Elvis, with whom I was lucky enough to get my picture taken. Honestly, It wouldn't surprise me at all if next year, Santa Claus were to show up dressed entirely in Pink, along with a magenta sleigh and nine pink-nosed reindeer! And who could forget the multitudes of Christmas Gifts wrapped in various shades of, you guessed it - Pink!! All in all, this annual event raises a great deal of awareness and most importantly, our school is able to raise $ through merchandise and donations etc that all go towards finding a cure for cancer. Well, there you have it, Pink is the new...Pink!!
This week, my wonderful students are Presenting their Creativity Projects, which turned out awesome!! Here is a sneak peek of some of the posters that were created!!
