Master Bedrom Remodel in Progress

We've been planning for a while to remodel our master bedroom. We've saved this room for last to repaint because we didn't mind the original color, which was a bold red. About a month ago, when we decided we desperately needed new bedroom furniture, we enthusiastically set out to tackle the whole room. We had it repainted and gave it a little makeover - Nothing too crazy, just new paint, new furniture, new bedding, and a new bright welcoming color scheme - resulting in a much more inspiring and airy aesthetic, as well as a couple bold, beautiful, carefully selected new accessories in hopes to creatively add a little punch to the room...but without any clutter.

Our master bedroom is still in progress, but most of the significant elements are in place, so I'm definitely enjoying the room and loving posting about it. Our color scheme is pale yellow and gray with a pop of dark teal and I love how it's turning out so far - completely different from our (before) red, brown, and tan traditional master bedroom. We're going for a fresh, light, modern, airy appearance and feel. We've also updated our master bathroom quite a bit, which was a bright shrimp/coral color that definitely woke ya up in the morning, or middle of the night...or whenever you use the potty, that's for sure. We're extremely excited to share some of the changes with you - Here are a couple "Before" and "After" photos of the space so far.

We still have a list of things we need to accomplish in order to complete these makeovers, but so far, I love the way both rooms are turning out!!
This list includes :
* New lighting for the bathroom

* Granite counter tops (a couple years down the road)

* A large gorgeous modern glam mirror above our long dresser in the  bedroom, which we've been searching for, but just haven't found the perfect mirror to catch our eye

* More clever storage options in the closet, which I'm presently working on

Thank you so much for stopping by! Enjoy the rest of your amazing and exceedingly humid weekend. God Bless!!
Stay tuned for our next Blog Post entitled "Fun in the sun...room!!" (written by Clara Botbyl)
