I just had to put the pictures of our current kitchen at the top of this page, although there are several photos at the bottom as well from when we had painted our cabinets & installed our granite counter tops. Our latest renovation project was installing a stone & glass tile back splash, which turned out amazing!! Thanks for stopping by!! (scroll down to the bottom for earlier kitchen reno pics)
Above, is my latest DIY project - I decided to distress our 1st floor bathroom vanity & mirror, & experiment w/the already faux finish on the bathroom walls, which remains a work in progress. I also swapped out the burgandy rug & hand towel for a more neutral muted feel & lighter cottagy aesthetic. Below are a couple minor projects that I completed in my family room.
Here, you have the "Before" & "After" photos of the bar stools!!
Above is a photo of our new comfy bedspread!!
On to my tiny "baby" stools now!! Unfortunately, I only took a picture of one of the stools, but there were three in all, each one different!! Hopefully, the kiddies are enjoying their cute personalized stools!!
Here is a picture of the Magazine Rack that I sanded & spray Painted Red!!
Here's my Linen Closet, which was a total mess before I decluttered, organized, & labeled using scrap-book paper!!Yesterday, during my thrilling day trip to Ikea, with my loving husband, who put up with my hyper-active shopping enthusiasm quite well, I found a couple of great organizing tools, one of which I was able to hang & color code all of Jon's ties. I also purchased some extremely creative baskets which I will use to organize & display photo albums in our living room, & office supplies in our home office!! These are just a few summer projects that are well under way!!
I scored this Vintage vanity/dresser for $15 dollars @ at garage sale & gave it a brand new lease on life w/a nice priming, fresh coat of paint, & slight distress, & am in the process of replacing the knobs w/beautiful fancy glass ones!! Here's the before...& the after so far!!
I just finished priming/repainting a Trashcan that my sister-in-law, Jenn gave me from the kitchen in her old house. I matched it to my kitchen walls, but gave it a glossier finish in order to keep it clean, shiny, & botbylstylish, then replaced the handle!! I Here is a a before...& the after!!
Flashback to last summer...
When we moved into our house three years ago, our kitchen was extremely sad & droopy, w/brown wood paneling, & wallpaper on top of several layers of paint & interesting wall borders from years passed. So, it took us a couple of months to peel the wall paper & repaint. After we repainted, it was fine for a while & besides, it just wasn't it our budget to redo our entire kitchen.
Last summer, we decided that our oak kitchen cabinets just didn't fit into our light lovely airy kitchen aesthetic, & instead of completely replacing them, engaged in a two-week long painting cabinet project that turned out exquisite!! Then we kinda...replaced our counter tops, & while we were at it, replaced our sink & faucets, & kinda splurged on stainless steel appliances, but all on an unbelievable limited budget!! Our refrigerator was a "steel"!! It had been returned due to a size issue; Whoever had bought it before us had it delivered only to discover it didn't fit in their refrigerator out cove, so they returned it, & we snagged it!! Anyhow, our old drabby kitchen for which I'll need to search for a picture, evolved into a light & airy fun casual kitchen!! Here are the "renovating pics", & then, I'll post the final product!!
