Beachy Keen, Distressed Cabinets, & Paint!!

This morning, while Jon was out shopping (6:00AM) I decided to stir up some creative juices & add detail to plain white dresser knobs in my blue beach guest room. Of course I always get a little carried away, so I also experimented with the top of the dresser as well as my curtains, which came out interesting!! I also added a slightly distressed finish to my shabby chic bathroom cabinets, which I had already painted & added new knobs.
Originally, all I had planned to do is paint a "B" for the inside of my antique frame, which I had also painted & hung on the wall in my office. Here's how that turned out, with which I'm pretty satisfied!! The work station part of the office is pictured below as well. I'm also in the process of painting a little corner shelf the same color as the "B"!!

Giving Thanks!!

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!! Jon & I happily spent our wonderful Thanksgiving at Jenn & Eric's, where there were many people, lots of laughs, fun games, & awesome Turkey...& fruit...& mashed potatoes...& stuffing...& (shhh) ice cream & cookies!! I just had to post a picture of my adorable nephew Brayden, who's always smiling!! Thanksgiving is such an awesome holiday, especially since life moves at the speed of light, & we don't have many opportunities to focus on & Give Thanks for the people & things that make our lives special!! We're all so extremely busy w/work, cleaning, running all over the place, keeping up w/meetings & appointments etc, & it's refreshing to reflect once in a while!! Also, my birthday always falls right around Thanksgiving, either a couple days before or after,(& once every 7 years), on Thanksgiving Day!! Well, again, hope you all had an exquisite Thanksgiving!! Beautiful Beachy Ideas!!

I'm in the creative mood to showcase a couple of cute chic finds & ideas. The small bookshelf type piece is the latest addition to my beach room. I'm using it to store & showoff photo albums!! Above that is a chair I distressed which holds a Scrap Book I made this Summer!!

Until a few moments ago, my beloved camera was sleeping as well, even after two sets of brand new batteries, which bummed me out a little, since taking pictures has become one of my great loves!! (Could this be due to the fact that I bought the batteries @ Cow Town?) I forced myself to periodically settle for Jon's I-Phone, which takes pretty clear pictures, although they tend to blur if stretched. Then I decided to try a couple more sets of batteries & luckily, one set worked!! So, I will continue w/my new post & a few cute pics, while cheering for joy!!
