Happy July! Hope everyone had an amazing 4th! Super excited to share our "Summer house tour" celebrating 1 year of life at our new/old home! We've been striving to achieve a craftsman farmhouse french feel, with vintage charm, which I hope will come across in our photos. We still have a lot to do, and a couple rooms that we won't dare to share because they need tenderness and remodeling. Welcome to our home! Come on in!
Love original hardware!
Thank you to Jon's Aunt Bette for the amazing wood pallet sign "Amazing Grace" which I love outside our front door!
Going into the playroom
Welcome to our dining room, which has undergone a lot of changes including carpets removed, floor refinished, painted, heating polls wrapped in contact paper, furniture, vintage french gallery wall, decor etc. Our next addition will be decorative and crown molding to give it a bold farmhouse craftsman feel. I carefully chose soft gray, cream, aqua and a bit of black to keep it light and fresh. Most items were thrifted or from yard sales, a couple items purchased at homegoods or christmas tree shops.
Thank you Krystal for the lovely rustic "Saved By Grace" sign, which I adore! The white horse which Clara and I found at a yard sale and painted.
Feel free (please) to overlook the old air condition window unit in the background. No, we do not have central air. Eventually...
Into the hub of the home - In our case, a very small hub - the kitchen.
Love topiaries and french vintage accents for my window!
Here are my little helpers!
Here's the other side of the room, for which we are currently adding wainscoting.
Our powder room off or rather, in the kitchen
One room, or shall I say pass-through, that I really haven't posted about yet is our mudroom, side entryway. We actually relocated our washer and dryer into the basement, but still call this our mudroom. We are finished one side of the room but plan to add a cabinet unit consisting of clever shoe cubbies, crafts storage, etc but for now it's simply open shelving, a super cute hamper, and a shoe storage bench, and it's functioning pretty well for the time being. This room has come a long way!
Last but certainly not least on the 1st floor, our family room! This room has undergone a complete transformation! When we moved in one year ago, this room was super dark, and now it's light and airy. I love the table and chair set from target, and the fire place which I recently painted. It's a great room to house our desk which I painted and replaced knobs.
Now, onto the wonderful upstairs
I finally chose an adorable cream unicorn head from target's pillow comfort line to showcase as a centerpiece in our beautiful ikea frame! Isn't she precious? Love the way it came out!
The rooms we are in progress as we speak are our basement playroom, our master bedroom, and upstairs bathroom which has many changes to undergo, and is a total work in progress!
